Clam Chowder Soup Recipe

Serves 4

1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons flour
2 cups half-and-half cream
1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
3/4 teaspoon salt
ground black pepper to taste
1-1/2 (6.5 ounce) cans minced clams
1/2 cup minced onion
1/2 cup diced celery
1 cup cubed potatoes
1/2 cup diced carrots
1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons butter            

1. Drain juice from clams in a skillet then addthe onions, celery, potatoes and carrots. Add water to cover, and cook over medium heat until tender.
2.  In a separate saucepan, melt the butter then whisk in flour until smooth. Stir in cream until thick and smooth. Then add in vegetables and clam juice.
3. Stir in clams just before serving (careful not to over cook). When clams are cooked, stir in vinegar, and season with salt and pepper.
