Ham and Potato Soup Recipe

Serves 4

1-3/4 cups peeled and diced potatoes
4 tablespoons diced celery
4 tablespoons finely chopped onion
1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons diced cooked ham
1-1/2 cups and 2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules 
1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon ground white or blackpepper, or to taste
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 cup milk

1. Combine the potatoes, celery, onion, ham and water in a boiling pot. Boil until potatoes are tender, about  15 minutes then stir in the chicken bouillon, salt and pepper.
2.  In a separate saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour (stir constantly until thick). Slowly ad in milk. Continue stirring over medium-low heat until thick, 4 to 5 minutes. Stir the milk mixture into the stockpot, and cook soup until heated through.
